We are seeking an experienced motivated safeguarding professional to join our senior safeguarding team as the Named Professional for Safeguarding Adults. This is a pivotal Trust-wide leadership role influencing practice culture and outcomes for adults at risk across our organisation and with key partner agencies.

You will provide expert advice strategic leadership and professional support to staff at all levels ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding practice governance and learning. Working across complex systems you will collaborate with multi-agency partners to strengthen coordinated responses and improve outcomes for vulnerable adults.

This role offers the opportunity to:

• Lead and influence safeguarding practice across the Trust and in partnership with colleagues across the Isle of Wight ensuring a cohesive high-quality approach across the Group
• Provide expert advice on complex cases legal frameworks and policy supporting consistent decision-making across both trusts
• Drive the development and implementation of a shared safeguarding strategy including aligned policies training supervision governance and quality improvement programmes
• Contribute to serious case reviews thematic reviews audits and organisational learning ensuring lessons are translated into system-wide improvements
• Champion a culture of reflective practice professional curiosity and continuous improvement across services and sites

You will be confident in providing constructive challenge fostering collaboration and inspiring others to deliver high-quality safeguarding practice.

Qualifications :

Essential

• Educated to degree level 
• Current healthcare professional registration e.g. NMC AHP or equivalent e.g. qualified social worker.
• Relevant leadership/management course.
• Extensive specialist training in adult safeguarding.

Desirable

• Formal teaching qualification
• Educated to a masters level or equivalent.

Experience

Essential

• Experience in participation in the adult safeguarding procedures.
• Detailed and thorough knowledge of safeguarding adults agenda MCA and DoLs legislation.
• Experience of developing and delivery of training/education to all staff groups.
• Proven experience of working within the multi agency safeguarding arena

• High level communication skills effective communication to members of MDT and external partners.
