Security Dispatch Bay Supervisor

Job Summary
1. Operational Supervision
- Allocate bays and confirm trucks are correctly positioned.
- Oversee vehicle checks before loading and remain present until dispatch.
- Prevent unauthorised access to vehicles and secure areas.
- Support smooth workflow resolving bottlenecks quickly.
2. Seal Control
- Supervise the use issue and recording of tamper-evident seals.
- Verify at least 10% of seal numbers against the Catering Security Seals Form.
- Confirm all final door seals are applied and documented correctly.
- Escalate missing broken or suspicious seals without delay.
3. Documentation
- Check Dispatchers completion of Security Certificates and other records.
- Ensure all paperwork is clear accurate and complete before release.
- Record incidents discrepancies or delays in line with company policy.
4. Security and Compliance
- Enforce compliance with aviation security regulations and company policy.
- Ensure screened and unscreened items remain strictly separated.
- Conduct spot checks on staff performance and provide on-the-job coaching.
- Escalate any suspected tampering or irregularities to the Security Manager.
5. Health & Safety
- Enforce health and safety requirements in the loading bay including:
- Vehicle movements
- PPE compliance and manual handling practices
- Housekeeping and safe access routes
- Stop unsafe practices immediately and report hazards.
6. Communication and Leadership
- Lead bay briefings and handovers at shift start and end.
- Coordinate with drivers loaders and security staff to keep operations on time.
- Motivate and support Dispatchers and Yard Runners to perform to a high standard.
- Report significant issues or incidents directly to the Security Manager.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience supervising teams in logistics dispatch or security.
- Clear written and spoken English for briefings and documentation.
- Strong leadership organisation and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with a safety-first approach.
- Physically able to work in active bay operations.
- Must be trained or willing to train in aviation security and supervisory responsibilities.
