Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent; willingness to complete Level 5 Diploma in Childrens Residential Care
Experience Required: Experience within a Residential Childrens Home setting with leadership or senior responsibilities
The Home:
Our client operates a childrens residential home supporting young people who have experienced trauma neglect and abuse. Who we are looking for:
An experienced and motivated Deputy Manager who can lead a team support the Registered Manager and ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the team to deliver high-quality care
Ensuring risks are managed in line with company policies and procedures
Communicating effectively with the team regarding daily plans
Reviewing care plans and associated documentation
Attending and chairing staff meetings
Supporting and improving the service model
Acting as an advocate for young people using a positive parenting model
Using positive support strategies including de-escalation techniques and in-house PRICE training
Supporting the Manager with day-to-day tasks
Running the home in the absence of the Manager
Completing on-call duties when required
Providing supervision and positive role modelling to staff
Attending meetings on behalf of the Manager when required
You must hold a full manual UK driving licence and be fully flexible to work unsociable shift patterns.
