Your team & responsibilities
As Senior User Researcher youll report to the Director of Product and join a Product team composed of 6 people.
Your mission is to understand the why behind our users and the barriers for our non-users defining the strategic blueprint for how we increase the value of our current users while reaching and engaging entirely new audiences. The goal is to be the strategic pulse of our growth ambition. We are looking for someone to lead high-impact research for our Cafeyn & Readly platforms (serving 2M users across 15 geographies).
Your role is threefold:
Performing user research to validate hypothesis anticipate future needs and identify potential shift in habits
Driving deep-dive insights that shape the product roadmap
Building the operational backbone that allows our product teams to scale their user knowledge
Your missions
1. Core Responsibilities
User Research
End-to-End Research: Define plan and execute mixed-method research (qualitative and quantitative) to influence design and product decisions
Market Intelligence: Look beyond our current walls. You will lead research into non-users and younger demographics to understand barriers to entry and why certain segments arent yet subscribing
Synthesis & Action: Translate data into actionable recommendations. You wont just report findings; youll partner with Product Managers & Designers to implement iterations based on test results
Evidence-Based Advocacy: Act as the ultimate advocate for a user-centric approach ensuring the voice of the user is present in every meeting
Research Operations & Culture
The Research Engine: Define and own the Research strategy. You will set the standards and processes for how we conduct research globally
Knowledge Management: Create and manage a global research repository. We want to ensure that insights arent lost in Slack but are structured reusable and searchable
Tooling & Playbooks: Own our research ecosystem (sourcing unmoderated testing surveys reviews) and create the templates and playbooks that empower others
2. Secondary responsibilities
Market & Category Mapping: Perform continuous discovery on the broader market category. Identify untapped opportunities and analyze competitor UX/value propositions to ensure our product remains the preferred choice in a shifting landscape
Business Discovery: Work with our Business Discovery to assess potential business opportunities
Internal Acculturation: Act as an ambassador and coach. You will train product teams on best practices leveling up the entire organizations ability to work with evidence
Who are we looking for
You are at the right place if you have
You have 6 years experience in User Research ideally within high-growth B2C or B2B2C environments handling millions of users
You are equally comfortable in a deep-dive interview as you are analyzing survey metrics or usage data. You know how to marry the what (data) with the why (research)
You have led transversal Research initiatives before. You dont just use tools; you build systems
You are a self-starter who can define your own roadmap prioritize high-impact projects and drive initiatives end-to-end without hand-holding
You can lead and influence stakeholders without direct authority. You are a master of synthesisturning its complicated into heres what we do next.
You are fluent in French and English capable of conducting research and presenting to international stakeholders in both languages
