Job Summary
APPLICATION TIMELINE:
Substitute applications will be accepted beginning March 1 2026 with screening through April 4 2026.
The earliest possible start date for substitute work will be after April 8 2026.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Substitute Degreed Teacher - Bachelors degree from a recognized accredited college or university (If you have a foreign transcript it must be evaluated by a TEA approved credential evaluation agency.)
Certified Teacher - Valid Texas Education Agency (TEA) certification

3. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.

ADDITIONAL APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees.
FEES:
There isa fingerprinting fee(approximately $50.00) associated with this application process.
SALARY:
$110.00/day (daily assignments)
$145/day - $180/day (long-term assignments)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for implementing the Districts instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated in accordance with district policies and procedures on a day-to-day basis.
2. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing stooping bending pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks media equipment desks and other classroom equipment.
