Overview
Our client is a leading renewable and traditional energy solutions provider serving millions of customers across North America. Were seeking an experienced Material Planner - Level 2 to join our Project Management team in Palm Beach Gardens FL. This 12-month contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical energy infrastructure planning and execution while working alongside industry professionals.
Position Overview
As a Material Planner - Level 2 you will be responsible for coordinating material procurement inventory management and supply chain optimization for major energy projects. With 6-10 years of experience in material planning youll leverage your expertise to ensure timely material availability cost efficiency and project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain material schedules aligned with project timelines and milestones
- Coordinate with procurement engineering and project management teams to forecast material requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock optimization across multiple project locations
- Analyze demand patterns and recommend procurement strategies to reduce costs and lead times
- Maintain supplier relationships and track vendor performance metrics
- Prepare detailed material reports and forecasts for project stakeholders
- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks and material shortage risks
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and standards
- Utilize planning software and systems to track material flow and project progress
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of material planning experience in engineering construction or energy sectors
- Proven expertise in demand forecasting and supply chain optimization
- Strong proficiency with material planning software (MRP ERP systems SAP preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities
- Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities
- Strong communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in renewable energy or utility sector projects
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMP Agile)
