Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree from an accredited institution.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience of staff projects and budgets.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in business administration or related field.
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience of staff projects and budgets.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills.
- Knowledge of pertinent regulations policies and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA Public Records Sunshine Law FERPA and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy public information and records retention.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise staff in the Parent Information Center to ensure customer-focused consistent implementation of the Districts student assignment process in the absence of or at the direction of the director.
- Complete administrative assignments as requested by the director to support the overall administration of the department.
- Develop written communications materials to support the Districts school selection and student assignment system.
- Supervise staff to ensure proper implementation of the student assignment plan.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Lee County schools to ensure that complete and accurate descriptions of available programs are communicated to staff and the community.
- Supervise training of new employees and staff training regarding the student assignment plan.
- Determine approval or disapproval of Level I Student Assignment Waivers.
- Determine and implement activities accomplishments staff requirements and allocations of resources for the Parent Information Center.
- Work with the director to ensure staff development of all school-based information specialists and other school-based staff as appropriate.
- In conjunction with the director interview and hire appropriate department staff.
- In conjunction with the director evaluate Parent Information Center staff.
- Confer with appropriate personnel to outline plans for the Parent Information Center using suitable resources and scope of authority.
- Prepare progress reports of activity at the Parent Information Center.
- Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring registrations transfers and re-enrolls.
- Organize and oversee training of support staff regarding policies affecting student assignment.
- Verify that work assigned is completed according to the student assignment plan.
- Oversee activities to ensure accuracy completeness and quality of all processes.
- Maintain a complete and systematic set of records of all financial transactions.
- Follow District policies and procedures on financial transactions and procedure compliance and accountability.
- Coordinate information and assignments with schools and departments.
- Coordinate reporting of staff absences and scheduling of vacations.
- Ensure that Lee County Health Department immunization requirements for student registration are met by the department.
