Job Description
As a Security Officer - EMT Certified - Unarmedin Chicago IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff patients and visitors with professional customer service communicate clearly and document observations while supporting site procedures. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner assisting with de-escalation notifications and coordination with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas assist with visitor direction and/or check-in processes as assigned and report suspicious or unusual conditions to the appropriate parties.
- Complete accurate documentation such as daily activity logs and incident reports and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an EMT Certification.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a guard card or license preferred.
- Possess CPR Certification preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
