Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Drama Club Assistant for the school year. This is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.
Major Responsibilities:- Coordinate/oversee all technical aspects of staging the spring drama productions of spring drama production.
- Attend/assist at organizational meetings.
- Run/assist Drama Club acting/backstage workshops.
- Drive/chaperone METG field trip to West Bridgewater State University as needed.
- Assist with running auditions.
- Provide input with casting the play.
- Attend/Run workshops/rehearsals as needed (December January February March April).
- Provide feedback during rehearsals.
- Work with Stage Manager to maintain organized props costume and storage rooms.
- Coordinate/Oversee creation of Program/Poster including all interior write-ups (work with DVC).
- Coordinate/oversee set construction with Carpentry.
- Research/coordinate costumes/props/furniture with director.
- Maintain proper communication with Drama Club Advisor maintenance building scheduler and with Carpentry Cosmetology and DVC instructors etc.
- Oversee/develop make-up and hair design.
- Inventory make-up and recommend purchase of new inventory.
- Coordinate hair/make-up for full-dress and the nights of each performance with Cosmetology.
- Coordinate ticket sales the night of each performance.
- Secure all ticket sales with Drama Club Advisor.
- Coordinate all aspects of cast party as needed.
- Chaperone year-ending field trip as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Fulfill Drama Club Advisors roles given any short-term absence.
- Complete an approved Program of Work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Demonstrated ability to interact with students teachers parents and staff.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Conditions of employment.
Additional Requirements:- This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
Effective Dates of Employment:- This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year.
- The person who fills this position will be the contact for any relevant and important information prior to the start of the school year.
Supervisor:Compensation:- The total stipend for this position is $2467 for the entire assignment.
