Job Summary

Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Summer School Program Lead for the school year. The Summer School Lead is responsible for directing Minutemans summer school program including Career and Technical Education Middle School Exploration Credit Recovery and Enrichment programming for all ages Pre-K to Grade 12. The Summer School Lead will supervise all students/staff involved and oversee all operational functions related to summer school for the District. The Summer School Lead will be on-site during all summer school programming activities. This is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.Major Responsibilities:
  • Management and execution of Summer School and youth enrichment opportunities.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Minuteman core content and career and technical education program offerings.
  • Develop design promote manage and direct a diverse summer school program and its staffing assist with contracts and help to retain those teachers and programs for course offerings.
  • Ability to manage and direct large programs.
  • Expand the summer school to include enrichment programming for students of all ages between pre-K and adults.
  • Create programs for specialized groups such as STEM for girls and Healthcare for boys.
  • Communicate with families regarding summer school concerns (as necessary).
  • Act as the on-site Director during all summer programming.
  • Ability to coordinate transportation programming staffing and enrollment for summer school and youth programs.
  • Manages enrollment software/website and class attendance lists.
  • Provide direct budget and program management customer relations supervision and staff to ensure that all Summer School programs are functioning effectively within the policies and mandates of the District and the Department of Education.
  • Cooperates with business industry civic and other organizations to develop curricula to meet their needs and the interests of area students and the community.
  • Prepares the summer school budget- allocates funds for staff allocates and orders supplies equipment and facilities.
  • Attends marketing events to promote Minutemans Summer School.
  • Creates all reports needed for summer school programs included but not limited to transcripts public summaries and grant funding;
  • Analyze data from questionnaires interviews and group discussions to evaluate curricula teaching methods and community participation in the educational programs provided for summer programs.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated; ability to work both independently and as part of a team in accomplishing time-sensitive tasks and to accurately deal with demands of the department.
  • Experienced in developing and operating technical and non-technical skills enrichment programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing in person through email and on the telephone.
  • Secondary or post-secondary teaching counseling or administration credentials experience is required.
  • Project management experience including supervision organization coordination and performance of duties at a program administrator level preferred.
Additional Requirements:
  • This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
Terms of Employment:
  • Stipend Position.
Effective Dates of Employment:
  • This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year.
  • The person who fills this position will be the contact for any relevant and important information prior to the start of the school year.
Supervisor:
  • Principal.
Compensation:
  • The total stipend for this position is $25971 for the entire assignment.
