ADMINISTRATIVE INTERN 1 - PESB
There are two part-time positions available to SPSCC student interns only. These positions are based in Olympia WA are currently funded through June and are eligible for a telework schedule. The telework arrangement includes a combination of on-site and remote workdays.

We believe that the success of Washingtons students depends on the success of Washingtons educators. At the Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) we oversee the preparation and certication of Washingtons P-12 educators.
We are one agency with two governing Boards: the Professional Educator Standards Board and the Paraeducator Board. In addition to serving as the states educator licensure board we oversee approval and review of all educator preparation programs. We focus on educator quality workforce diversity and policy innovation through grants administration workgroups and pilot projects. We prioritize diversifying the educator workforce and addressing educator shortages through programs that strengthen pathways into the profession support the assessment system and enable educator recruitment retention and professional growth efforts.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will provide administrative support for PESBs Educator preparation team. This team oversees the preparation program approval review data and support policies and processes for all educator preparation programs in Washington State.
This position reports to the Directors of the PESBs Educator preparation team and will work closely
with the members of this team.

COMPENSATION
Compensation for the position is $20.09 per hour. Work is part-time 18 hours per week. The position is not represented by a bargaining unit.
