Physical Therapist

Qualifications (Required):
- Valid License as a Physical Therapist.
- Successful experience as a physical therapist.
- Experience implementing direct physical therapy services (including gross motor and/or physical disabilities which will allow them to access the school safely) for students within sub-separate and inclusion classes.
- Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers students parents and administrators.
- Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Program Managers and Program Coordinator to provide direct physical therapy services (including gross motor and/or physical disabilities which will allow them to access the school safely) services to students on IEPs.
- Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
- Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
- Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator.
- Write end of summer progress reports for each student served.
Duration:
Program Administration and Implementation 103 hours total to include the following:
- Professional In-service Days (Date TBD 3 hours).
- 20 days Monday-Thursday from July 6 August 6 (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).
Stipend: $40 an hour $4120 total (20 days/5 hrs 1 inservice at 3 hours)
Funding Source: Special Education
