The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center isseekinga highly motivated Academic General Anesthesiologist to join our expanding team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide a wide variety of anesthesia care while contributing to the departments academic research and teaching missions.

Position Highlights

• Provide anesthesia services for a broad range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.

• Deliver high-quality perioperative care and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical continuum.

• Supervise and teach residents fellows and medical students in both clinical and didactic settings.

• Participate in departmental academic activities such as research quality improvement and scholarly projects.

• Engage in collaborative multidisciplinary clinical care across the institution.

• MD DO or equivalent degree.

• Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA or equivalent).

• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas.

• Demonstrated interest in education scholarship and academic contributions.

• Commitment to excellence in patient care teamwork and professional development.

• Candidates with subspecialty training in cardiothoracic obstetric pediatric regional neurosurgical or transplant anesthesia as well as critical care pain management hyperbaric medicine and perioperative medicine are welcome to apply.
