You will be responsible for and assist in many aspects of that process. This includes researching concerts and venues collecting setlists analyzing data and identifying songs so that the appropriate songwriters and publishers receive compensation in a complete accurate and timely YOULL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProcessing of concert setlists submitted in paper form Processing of concert setlists submitted by foreign societies Research of missing setlists Matching Concert usages to setlists Conduct concert research (identify performers venues promoters etc.)Assist with work identification including foreign artists catalogsAssist with unidentified work research (this involves determining who the songwriters/publishers of the works are)Assist with incoming Concert claims from SOCAN membersPrepare/setup concerts for distribution in our systemAdd foreign music repertoire to SOCAN databaseWHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCECurrently enrolled in post-secondary educationAvailable to work 35 hours a week May through AugustAbility to manage workload effectively including planning organizing prioritizing and meeting deadlinesStrong communication (both written and verbal) skillsDynamic energetic and self-motivatedACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONSOCAN is committed to providing an inclusive workplace environment that meets the accessibility needs of employees with disabilities.
