Job Summary
Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Non-Traditional Career Advisor Lead for the school year. The Non-Traditional Lead will work to increase support awareness and opportunities for students in (or possibly entering) non-traditional career fields for their gender at Minuteman. They will work closely with Minutemans staff to increase non-traditional participation in career and technical is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.Major Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Career and Technical Education to increase the percentage of Non-Traditional students at Minuteman.
- Create or plan presentations for Minuteman students families and staff to increase awareness of Non-Traditional participation and opportunities.
- Provide platforms for Non-Traditional success stories to be shared with Minutemans current students families and staff.
- Attend conferences and networking events with other Non-Traditional advisors.
- Plan and accompany Minutemans Non-Traditional students to conferences and other networking events.
- Provide professional development opportunities for Career and Technical Education instructors to increase Non-Traditional enrollment in their programs.
- Collaborate with Admissions to provide input on how to increase Non-Traditional student enrollment and narrow the gap of male vs female enrollment.
- Recruit students to join Minutemans Non-Traditional group.
- Offer Non-Traditional group meetings and events.
- Collect data that will help inform Minuteman staff of successful Non-Traditional recruitment strategies.
- Integrate with other leadership groups at Minuteman such as GSA Student Ambassadors Peer Leaders Skills USA and Student Athletes.
- Provide information tables on Minutemans Non-Traditional group at enrollment events (such as Minutemans Open House etc.)
- Complete an approved Program of Work.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Self-motivated; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experienced in developing and providing training opportunities for students staff and families.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing in person through email and on the telephone.
- Career counseling experience preferred.
- Ability to coordinate trips conferences and networking events.
- This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
- Stipend Position.
- This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year.
- The person who fills this position will be the contact for any relevant and important information prior to the start of the school year.

- The total stipend for this position is $2337 for the entire assignment.
