This position will report to the Controller Restaurant full cycle accounting responsibilities ensuring accurate and timely results are provided to the businessPrepare monthly profit and loss statements and various other reportsLiaise with operations management on accounting issuesResponsible for complex balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare and calculate regular tax filings (GST PST LST Sales & Use Tax)Maintain effective internal controls identify risks and propose recommendations for required control changes as necessaryCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements prioritizing automation where great working relationships with the business to promote synergiesSupport the annual external financial statement audits and tax filing requirementsPerform other accounting duties as requiredRole RequirementsBachelors degree in accounting or finance requiredCPA designation or equivalentExperience in full-cycle accounting role with a strong working knowledge of GAAPStrong financial analysis skills and independent problem solvingExceptional time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work within established deadlines and time constraintsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to have fun and be a great team playerProficiency in Microsoft Office particularly with Excel and ERP systems (Experience with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations Power BI & Planful would be considered an asset)Submission of resume does not guarantee an interview or transfer.
