Job Summary

The HR Executive supports the overall Human Resources function of the hotel ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across recruitment employee relations payroll coordination and regulatory compliance.

This role plays a key part in managing work permit processes maintaining strong relationships with relevant government authorities in the Maldives and ensuring that all employment practices align with local labor laws and company policies.

The ideal candidate is organized detail-oriented discreet and confident handling both administrative and compliance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings screening interviews and offer letters.
  • Prepare employment contracts in compliance with Maldivian labor law.
  • Manage onboarding documentation and induction processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.

Work Permits & Government Relations

  • Handle work permit applications renewals cancellations and quota management.
  • Coordinate with relevant Maldivian government authorities regarding immigration and employment matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all visa labor and expatriate employment regulations.
  • Maintain updated records of expatriate documentation and expiration dates.

Employment Contracts & Legal Compliance

  • Draft and administer employment contracts amendments and termination documentation.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with Maldivian labor regulations.
  • Support disciplinary processes in line with legal requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.

Payroll & HR Administration

  • Coordinate monthly payroll preparation including attendance leave records overtime and deductions.
  • Verify payroll data for accuracy before processing.
  • Administer employee benefits leave tracking and final settlements.
  • Support audits and prepare HR-related reports as required.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding contracts benefits and policies.
  • Assist in resolving workplace issues professionally and fairly.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communication.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 35 years of HR experience preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Maldivian labor law and work permit regulations.
  • Experience handling expatriate documentation and government coordination.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and HR software.
