Job Description Summary:

The Java Developer will design build and maintain high-quality backend applications using Java (Spring Boot) in a cloud-native environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product DevOps and QA to deliver robust scalable and secure solutions. This role focuses on hands-on development problem-solving and supporting the delivery of production-ready software.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with at least 5 years of professional experience to join our development team. You will work on the design and implementation of critical Java based services contributing to the architecture and deployment of backend systems. The role involves hands-on coding automated testing CI/CD and collaboration with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality scalable and secure backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write production-quality Java code (Java 11) following best practices and coding standards.

• Design implement and maintain a service-oriented architecture.

• Collaborate with product owners DevOps QA and other developers to deliver features and updates.

• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to quality performance and security standards.

• Build maintain and operate CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments.

• Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and contribute to operational improvements.

• Implement infrastructure and deployment automation in collaboration with DevOps teams.

• Contribute to discussions on software design architecture and technology adoption.

• Maintain clear documentation of services and processes.

Technologies:

• Java 11 (Spring Boot)

• RESTful APIs JSON XML

• AWS cloud services (EC2 S3 RDS Lambda VPC IAM etc.)

• CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions)

• Monitoring & logging tools

• Source control (Git) and agile project management tools

Your Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of professional Java development experience.

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and building RESTful microservices.

• Practical experience with CI/CD automated testing and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms preferably AWS.

• Working knowledge of AWS Step Functions Lambdas and API Gateways.

• Strong understanding of software design principles architecture and performance tuning.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize application performance.

• Comfortable working in an agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.

• Good English written and spoken communication skills are a requirement of this role.

Desirable:

• Experience in fintech banking or other regulated industries.

• Knowledge of legacy system modernization or migration strategies.
