Job Summary

ESY 2026

Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)

High School

(3 Positions Total)

Qualifications (Required):

  1. Valid License as a Speech and Language Pathologist
  2. Successful teaching experience.
  3. Experience implementing direct speech services including articulation receptive and expressive language needs and social communication.
  4. Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers students parents and administrators.
  5. Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  1. Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
  2. SEI Endorsement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and implement ESY Curriculum for students on IEPs.
  2. Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
  3. Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
  4. Perform other related activities as required by the Program Coordinator.
  5. Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program.

Duration:

  • Program Administration and Implementation 103 hours total to include the following:
    • Professional In-service Days (Date TBD 3 hours).
    • 20 days Monday-Thursday from July 6 August 6 (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).

Stipend: $40 an hour $4120 total (20 days/5 hrs 1 inservice at 3 hours)

Funding Source: Special Education
