This role sits within Amdocs Global Delivery unit whose purpose is to ensure Amdocs customers
current & future success by delivering and enabling innovative customer-centric software
solutions. Solution Delivery and this role is key to our ability to deliver state of the art solutions
which support our customers successful transition to the world of 5G connectivity.
What will your job look like
- Solution Architects are the most senior professional authority in solution and software
architecture responsible for requirements gathering design management and the end-to-end
architecture of a solution. The architect will bridge the gap between business problems and
technology solutions and as a customers advocate will translates their needs into well
architected solutions. - The solution architect primary focus is architecting a best-in-class solution for the customer
(Resilient Performant Secured Operable & Optimized) and guiding technical project
development teams DevSecOps and product teams to achieve the best solution for our
customers. - The solution architect will also evolve how the unit delivers to drive cost reduction and quality
improvement championing best practices and increasing the knowledge of our teams.
On top of these the architects work closely with R&D teams to guide on product roadmaps and
support pre-sales activities for our customers.
All you need is...
- 812 years of experience in software engineering and architecture.
- Proven experience as Software Architect or Solution Architect in Telecom.
- Telecom domain knowledge (OSS/BSS charging network systems protocols).
- Java (Core Advanced)
- Microservices architecture (Spring Boot preferred)
- System & Solution Design
- Network fundamentals & integrations
- Enterprise Architecture principles
- Be experienced in customer solution architecture committed to delivering excellent work with
excellent people. - Have a relevant computer science or software engineering related degree and have a
curiosity to learn more. - A proven track record of delivering complex solutions to multiple customers.
- Experience in technically managing and deploying a complex systems integration project.
- Experience working with high performance real time multi-threaded microservices onKubernetes clusters
- Practical exposure to the following technologies and tools: Java Spring REST Kafka Docker
Kubernetes. - Experience with cloud native technologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of the following protocols TCP/IP HTTP. Exposure to Diameter would be a
plus. - Experience with In-memory databases.
- Structured programming experience: course work plus commercial with advanced
experience in for example Java. - Proven experiences with development and delivery methodologies such as DevSecOps
Scaled Agile and Kanban.
