Job Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating each patient (pediatric adolescent
adult and geriatric) assigned to them determine short-term and long-term goals in conjunction with
the patient and other team members when appropriate develop and implement a comprehensive
treatment program to meet these goals with direct supervision as needed for new graduates and
perform these tasks in a timely effective manner that corresponds to the productivity standards for
the department. Additional responsibilities will include administrative assignments as assigned.
Speech-Language Pathologists will adhere to all state and federal regulations that apply to the
practice of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications

Education
Graduated from an accredited
Speech Language Pathology Program
Bachelors or Masters Degree in
Speech Language Pathology preferred
Licensure/Certification
Current or eligible for licensure in the
State of Virginia and Certificate of
Clinical Competence from the
American Speech Language and
Hearing Association.
BLS CPR Certification
Membership in professional
organization is preferred
Experience
Two years of clinical experience is
preferred but not required.
