Republik is looking for a Communication and Impact Strategist to join and grow our team dedicated to sustainability and social responsibility. This person will be at the heart of our mission: helping organizations turn their commitments into concrete actions then communicate those actions with authenticity and impact.
The ideal candidate has solid experience in communications combined with expertise in sustainability CSR or impact strategy. They speak both the language of business and the language of sustainability. They know how to translate complex issues (decarbonization circular economy equity governance) into clear strategies and compelling narratives. They are equally proficient in responsible communication approaches and social marketing to create lasting behavioral change. Rigorous in analysis creative in approach they navigate seamlessly between reference frameworks (GRI SASB SDGs B Corp) and the on-the-ground realities of businesses.

Were looking for someone who can lead strategic mandates from start to finish challenge organizations with care translate their needs into concise and accessible action plans and elevate Republiks impact practice.
More specifically here are the responsibilities:
Impact Strategy
- Guide clients in developing their sustainability strategy purpose and commitments
- Conduct ESG diagnostics and materiality assessments
- Develop roadmaps and action plans aligned with best practices and recognized frameworks
- Design campaign strategies aimed at societal change and awareness (social marketing)
- Implement reporting and impact measurement systems
- Advise on certifications and labels (B Corp carbon neutrality 1% for the Planet etc.)
Responsible Communication
- Design communication strategies that translate commitments into authentic mobilizing narratives
- Support creative teams in developing campaigns that avoid greenwashing
- Write or oversee the production of sustainability reports content and key messages
- Train clients on responsible communication best practices
Practice Development
- Help position Republik as a leader in impact strategy in Quebec
- Participate in developing new tools methodologies and service offerings
- Explore the use of artificial intelligence to optimize reporting and analysis processes
- Represent the agency at conferences panels and industry events
- Maintain active monitoring of trends regulations and innovations in sustainability
Mandate Management
- Manage client relationships and ensure delivery of complex mandates
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (creative brand strategy media)
- Contribute to business development and proposal preparation
What skills are we looking for

Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with significant time spent in impact strategy sustainability or CSR
- Experience in an agency consulting or in a communications role within a purpose-driven organization
- University degree in communications environment sustainability business administration or a related field (a masters degree or specialized certification is an asset)
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks (GRI SASB TCFD SBTi SDGs) and common certifications
- Fluency in French and professional English. English proficiency is essential for bilingual writing presentations and exchanges outside Quebec. As we value French we maintained this requirement only after concluding that no internal reorganization would allow these functions to be accomplished otherwise
- Experience in client relations
