The ACLU of Georgia welcomes legal externs for the fall semester.Legal Externs must be in law school and will be expected to commit approximately20hoursper week to the externship.

Legal Externs will be expected to perform legal research draft legal memoranda and potentially legal briefs and other documents and be otherwise available to support the ACLU of Georgias litigation activities. The externship is designed for those who are interested in pursuing a career in public interest litigation.

Applicants should have strong research writing and communication skills and a demonstrated interest in civil liberties and civil rights.
