Minimum Qualifications:
An earned masters degree in Mathematics Education Curriculum and Instruction Teacher Education or a closely related field (a doctorate is preferred; ABD candidates nearing completion will be considered).
A minimum of three years of successful K12 mathematics teaching experience and a current teaching license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching mathematics in K12 settings particularly at the elementary and middle school levels as well as in higher education.
Familiarity with asset-based and learner-centered pedagogies in mathematics instruction.
Experience advising mentoring and/or supervising preservice teachers in both clinical and non-clinical settings.
Demonstrated commitment to educational equity social justice and culturally responsive pedagogy.
Experience collaborating with colleagues and engaging with the broader community.
Evidence of an active scholarly or research agenda.
Administrative license (e.g. principal etc.)
