An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Leeds (ages 1118) is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Geography Teacher (ECT) to join their thriving Humanities faculty.
The school is known for its excellent teaching high student outcomes and strong sense of community. Fieldwork and geographical enquiry are central pillars of the schools Geography curriculum supported by excellent resources.
As a Geography ECT you will:
Teach dynamic lessons across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 available depending on experience.
Develop pupils understanding of physical human and environmental geography.
Engage students through fieldwork map skills data interpretation and case studies.
Support the Geography Department with curriculum planning and resource development.
Be fully supported by experienced teachers throughout your ECT induction.
Completing a PGCE or equivalent and holding QTS.
Strong academic background in Geography or a related field.
Genuine passion for the subject and for supporting student curiosity.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A collaborative reflective and enthusiastic approach.
