The Elementary Interventionist provides targeted academic support to students who require additional instruction in reading and mathematics. This position delivers small-group and individual interventions based on student data and identified needs which may shift between content areas throughout the school year. The interventionist collaborates closely with classroom teachers leadership and instructional staff to monitor progress adjust instruction and support overall student achievement. Instructional Expertise Knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies in reading and mathematics. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs. Ability to implement structured systematic intervention programs with fidelity. Understanding of elementary literacy and mathematics development. Data & Progress Monitoring Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret assessment results and apply findings to instruction. Ability to use formal and informal assessment data to identify skill gaps and monitor student growth. Ability to set measurable student goals and adjust instruction based on progress monitoring trends. Organization & Professional Responsibility Effective time management including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and progress monitoring. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow FERPA and district guidelines. Flexibility and adaptability to shift intervention focus based on student and school needs. Ability to work independently while also contributing to team goals and school initiatives.
