Job Summary
Edge Transportation specializes in flat deck heavy haul & over-dimensional freight service throughout North America. From full truckload to less-than-truckload needs experienced operators ensure secure and efficient transport.
In addition we offer Drayage service which refers to a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over a short distance an essential part of intermodal shipping.
We take containers in and out of warehouses rail terminals ocean ports and harbors. This often involves taking huge steal shipping containers off rail cars and ship decks and then loading them onto truck trailers. From there the container is transported to a warehouse or storage facility to get ready for the next step in the intermodal shipping process.
Were currently recruiting an experienced Class 1 Local Driver whos ready to get off the highway and enjoy more home time. This role is a dual role with 60% yard duties and 40% driving like the right fit Apply today!
Scope:
- Forklift operation to accept count and unload material from inbound trailers & conatiners.
- Load outbound material from the staging areasto the outbound trailers & containers.
- Destuff shipping containers and handle freight to ensure safe and efficient unloading.
- Shunt containers and trailersto different sites in and around Saskatoon North Battleford areas
- Actively promote health and safety through participation and leadership in Edge TransportHealth and Safety Program and Policies.
- Safe operation of all equipment.

What You Bring:
- A positive CAN-DO attitude
- Safety conscious approach to all job duties
- Class 1A Drivers License 2 years
- Forklift experience 3 yrs (gas diesel and/or electric powered) up to 10000 lbs required
- Loader experience is required
- Willing to work outside in all weather conditions is required
- Must be willing and able to perform physically demanding work including regular lifting bending and standing
- A clean drivers abstract with no suspensions
- Ability to pass a criminal record check &pre-employment drug screening
