Class 3 Equipment Operator
Job Summary
Clean Harbors in Winnipeg MB is seeking an Equipment Operator (Class 3) to join their safety conscious team! This role involves operating heavy equipment within company/customer facilities to stage and move waste material. The role will also require performing labor-intensive duties such as hazardous waste cleanup site remediation equipment decontamination and handling hazardous materials. The position can also require working in confined spaces for tank and vessel cleaning.
*Please note candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule for this role (overtime evenings weekends etc.)

Responsibilities
- Operate and transport a variety of equipment wet vacs dry vacs steam trucks and related industrial equipment.
- Perform tank/vessel cleaning and hazardous waste cleanup including maneuvering large hoses.
- Conduct pre-/post-trip inspections and ensure safe proper equipment operation report issues promptly.
- Respond to emergencies involving chemical spills and support routine decontamination tasks.
- Operate light/heavy equipment (pumps vac systems generators bobcats) and use various hand and powered industrial tools.
- Maintain equipment and follow all safety and environmental procedures.
Qualifications
- Current Class 3 Licensed Operator.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Ability to drive manual transmission.
- Vacuum Truck operating is highly preferred.
- Willing to work after hours/nights for emergency response purposes.
- Willing to work out of town for extended periods of time.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Safety tickets (First Aid/CPR H2S Alive etc.) highly preferred.
