About the Role

Join ENGIEs Supply & Energy Management team as a Quantitative Analyst and help shape the modelling and analytical insights that support Australia and New Zealands energy transition.

In this handson role youll contribute to the development and maintenance of quantitative models and tools that guide commercial decisionmaking asset optimisation and strategic planning. Youll be part of a supportive team where learning collaboration and continuous improvement are encouraged.

Technical Excellence

  • Support the development and maintenance of forecasting and optimisation models.
  • Assist with model testing validation and quality control alongside senior team members.
  • Apply strong coding practices including documentation version control and testing.
  • Build confidence in model governance and analytical best practice.

Reporting & Communication

  • Run analytical processes and produce insights that support stakeholders across the business.
  • Develop and automate reports to enhance efficiency visibility and decision support.
  • Work with senior analysts on more complex modelling tasks from design through to implementation and testing.
  • Communicate model outcomes assumptions and limitations in a clear and engaging way.

About You

Youre curious analytical and motivated to build your career in quantitative modelling. You thrive in supportive environments where learning is encouraged and where your ideas can contribute to realworld outcomes.

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering Mathematics Statistics Computer/Data Science Economics Finance or a related area.
  • Experience applying quantitative or analytical skills in practical settings.
  • Strong numerical capability and understanding of statistical or mathematical modelling.
  • Exposure to methods such as optimisation and time series modelling
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL with good coding hygiene (documentation testing version control).
  • A collaborative approach strong problemsolving skills and an interest in commercial decisionmaking.
  • Curiosity adaptability and a desire to learn new tools and techniques.
  • Energy sector knowledge is beneficial but not required.
