Join our Water & Wastewater team and use your engineering expertise to keep Coffs Harbours critical infrastructure running safely efficiently and sustainably.

About the role

As our Operations Engineer you will play a key role in planning managing and improving water and wastewater networks across the city. Every day looks different - from supporting system operations to managing capital works refining maintenance programs and enhancing safety and compliance across our network.

In this varied role you will:

  • Deliver and support operational and capital projects across water wastewater and treatment.
  • Assist with monitoring and improving water and wastewater reticulation systems.
  • Prepare estimates and reports for operational and capital works.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes safety documentation and digital technology.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external regulators to ensure compliance and great outcomes.

About you

Were looking for an engineering professional with the following:

  • A Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in the operation management or maintenance of water/wastewater reticulation systems.
  • Strong project and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to prepare technical reports and business cases.
  • A commitment to innovation collaboration and community-focused service.

  • Competitive salary from around $114K - $120K (including allowances) depending on your capabilities and experience 12% superannuation
  • Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week
