Job Description
The School of Graduate and Professional Studies ( SGPS ) at Elizabethtown College is seeking qualified candidates to become adjuncts and teach in the Certified Financial Planner Graduate Certificate Program which prepares candidates for the CFP exam and the Master of Science in Finance program. We are seeking dynamic student-focused educators with experience as active practitioners or researchers in the field of financial planning or advising to teach in the program to begin teaching in Spring 2025. Applicants must be a certified financial planner. Adjunct faculty are expected to teach courses using online and hybrid pedagogies through the Canvas LMS . Applicants must also reside in one of the following states: NY NJ MD VT and PA due to payroll tax processing limitations. Anyone not residing in one of those states will not be considered for employment.
Required Qualifications
Qualified candidates must hold either a graduate degree with a specialization in accounting finance or related business disciplines or a current CFP certification plus a bachelors degree in a related field or a current CFP certification a bachelors degree and significant experience in financial planning and advisory role. Relevant professional experience is required. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate teaching excellence and a commitment to collaborative processes. They are also expected to uphold the values of Elizabethtown College and have a demonstrated commitment to teaching adult learners.
