Job Summary

Basic Function

Reporting to the Operations Manager and based out of Industrial Oils Unlimited LLC (IOU) located in Tulsa Oklahoma the Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy efficiency and integrity of inventory across all IOU operational locations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining optimal inventory levels supporting uninterrupted operations and driving data-informed inventory decisions. The Inventory Control Analyst oversees inventory flow throughout the supply chain conducts routine audits and reconciliations investigates discrepancies and implements standardized inventory control processes. This position is designated as safety-sensitive and requires strict adherence to safety policies and procedures. Relocation benefits have not been approved for this position.

Job Duties

  • Inventory Planning: Develops implements and maintains inventory strategies forecasting methods and replenishment models to ensure optimal stock levels while meeting operational and customer demand.
  • Inventory Control: Monitors daily inventory movements; performs routine cycle counts and scheduled physical inventories; investigates and resolves inventory variances; and implements controls to minimize stockouts overstocking and shrinkage.
  • Warehouse and Storage Management: Oversees inventory-related warehouse activities including product receipt direct put-away product alignment storage organization and fleet tote management to ensure efficient material flow and accessibility.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operates forklifts and other material-handling equipment as required to support inventory movement storage and warehouse operations. Forklift certification will be provided through company-sponsored training.
  • Data Analysis: Utilizes inventory management systems and analytical tools to evaluate inventory trends identify inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives including monitoring daily bulk tank overages and shortages.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepares analyzes and presents accurate inventory reports for management highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) inventory accuracy turnover rates and variance trends.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partners with planning production customer care and finance teams to align inventory strategies with business objectives optimizes inventory turnover and manages inventory minimums across all locations.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Identifies and mitigates inventory-related risks by enforcing best practices ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and maintaining product quality and traceability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stays current on industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in inventory management; recommends and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency accuracy and cost control.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Experience

2-5 years of experience managing inventory supply chain or in other roles relevant to this position.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Business Supply Change Management or other field relevant to this position preferred. A combination of post secondary education and relevant work expierence will be considered. A minimum of a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and related software tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed timely decisions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking reconciliation and documentation
  • Effective basic written communication skills
  • Ability to apply fundamental mathematical concepts in inventory calculations and analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong emphasis on Excel

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

None.

Work Conditions

Petroleum refinery warehouse/plant environment out-of-doors environment and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals pressure vessels tanks rotating equipment working in confined spaces and exposure to the risk of electrical shock. Subject to all temperatures and weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
