DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our team delivering multi-country payroll. You will be based at our contemporary state of the heart modern Head Office in Leicester UK 4 days a week with 1 day working from home where you will be supporting UK Ireland and Sweden with payroll activities. In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Payroll Processing
Prepare and process endtoend payroll for employees in the UK Ireland and Sweden.
Validate monthly input data including new starters leavers transfers absences bonuses and contractual changes.
Conduct pre and postpayroll checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile payroll outputs and coordinate approvals within required deadlines.
Deliver payroll results to Finance for posting reporting and audit purposes. - Compliance & Statutory Requirements
Ensure payroll operation complies with:
HMRC regulations in the UK (PAYE NI student loans statutory payments RTI submissions).
Revenue Commissioners requirements in Ireland (PAYE Modernisation USC PRSI statutory payments).
Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) regulations (PAYE tax social security contributions statutory reporting).
Maintain uptodate knowledge of legislation changes and apply them to payroll processes.
Ensure statutory submissions are completed accurately and on time (e.g. RTI PAYE returns employer declarations). - Employee Support & Query Resolution
Act as the point of contact for employee payroll queries across the three regions.
Provide clear timely explanations on payslips deductions benefits and statutory entitlements.
Manage escalations professionally and maintain positive employee experience. - Systems & Data Management
Maintain accurate employee records in payroll and HRIS systems.
Ensure all payroll inputs are captured validated and stored securely.
Support system upgrades testing and process enhancements.
Work with external payroll providers where applicable to ensure quality and accuracy. - Reporting & Reconciliation
Prepare payroll reconciliations and variance reporting for Finance and HR.
Support audit activities (internal and external) with required documentation.
Produce required payroll reports for management finance HR and other stakeholders. - CrossFunctional Collaboration
Work closely with HR teams to ensure payroll reflects accurate employee information.
Partner with Finance for monthend activities journal entries and budget insights.
Liaise with external vendors authorities and auditors as needed.
Who You Are:
- You will be a highly meticulous numerically minded Payroll Analyst with experience of support the UK Ireland and Sweden with payroll activities. You will have high attention to detail and excellent stakeholder management skills. You will be comfortable with working under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy with a strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to your work.
For This Role You Will Need:
- Strong understanding of UK Ireland and Sweden payroll legislation and statutory obligations.
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g. Workday SAP ADP or local incountry platforms).
- High proficiency with Excel (pivot tables formulas reconciliations).
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- High sense of confidentiality and data protection awareness
- Background in HR Finance or shared services environments.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Prior experience working with external payroll providers is advantageous.
