As a TreasuryAnalystat ScottishPower you will playa central rolein supporting our ability to deliver a cleanergreenerand more resilient energy future.
This role is ideal for someone who is analytical curious and thrives in afastpacedcorporate treasury environment.
In this role you will deliveraccuratecash flow forecasting across multiple entities manage daily cash positioning and support the efficient deployment of cash to minimise borrowing and maximise value.
Youllwork closely with finance teamsmaintainstrong relationships with banking partners and ensure adherence to treasury policies and controls.
You will also provide cover for FX trading and the preparation of guarantees support treasuryreportingand KPI tracking and contribute to ongoing system and process improvements within a strong regulatory and audit framework.
- Prepare short-term and medium-term cash flow forecasts across multiple entities
- Monitor variances between forecast and actuals providing analysis and recommendations
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensureaccurateinput of data and variance analysis
- Manage daily cash positioning and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs
- Optimiseuse of surplus cash and minimize borrowing costs
- Maintain relationships with banking partners
- Support compliance with internal controls and treasury policies
FX Trading & Guarantees (Cover Role)
- Execute FX trades in line with approved policies when
- Monitor FX exposures andassistin hedging strategies
- Prepare and process bank guarantees and letters of credit as
- Assistwith treasury reporting and KPI tracking
- Support treasury systems and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements
- Degree in finance accounting economicsmathematicsor a related discipline preferred
- Experience in treasury financebankingor accounting (corporate treasury experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Highproficiencyin Excel and data analysis
- A proactivesolutions focusedmindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Commitment to ongoing learning and an interest in deepening treasuryexpertise
- Degree in Finance Accounting Economics MathematicsBusinessor a related discipline
- Understanding of cash management processes bank account operations and liquidity principles
- Basic understanding of FX markets exposures and trading mechanics (training can be provided)
- Highproficiencyin Excel (e.g. formulas pivot tables data manipulation)
- High levelof integrity reliability and accountability
