As the Technology Solutions-Senior Specialist your role is instrumental in providing expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of Telstras People Tech solutions.
You use your deep technical expertise to ensure solutions deliver a great employee experience. Core to enabling wholistic solutions to be designed implemented and maintained is your continuous learning mindset focus on collaborative teamwork and broad technical capability.
You use your deep technical expertise to manage People Tech systems like Workday Paradox Service Now UKG ADP etc. You will manage both configuration work as well as provide expertise on Strategic programs of work.
Your leadership is instrumental in developing technical capability in Global People Operations & configuration team
Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced HR Technology leader to provide end-to-end program delivery leadership across strategic and operational initiatives. This role is responsible for leading large-scale HR Technology programsprimarily centred on Workday and the broader HR technology ecosystemwhile building high-performing teams and delivering measurable business value.
- You will partner closely with HR IT Compliance and business stakeholders to deliver industry-leading HR technology solutions that support enterprise transformation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Delivery Leadership
- Lead the delivery of strategic and operational HR Technology programs ensuring outcomes are aligned to business objectives.
- Own end-to-end program governance planning execution risk management and value realization.
- Drive delivery excellence across complex multi-system HR Technology initiatives.
HR Technology & Transformation
- Lead HR Technology solution delivery primarily driven by Workday and integrated systems like ServiceNow UKG ADP and more within the HR ecosystem.
- Support HR Strategy & Transformation initiatives by delivering scalable compliant and future-ready HR Technology solutions.
- Lead initiatives that integrate Workday with other enterprise systems defining technical and functional requirements in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
Solution Design & Problem Solving
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand challenges and identify technology-enabled solutions to achieve business goals.
- Lead workshops design sessions and solution forums to drive alignment and solution clarity.
- Translate business needs into actionable delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
People & Vendor Leadership
- Build lead and develop a high-performing team of internal employees and external delivery partners.
- Provide strong people leadership coaching and performance management.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure effective delivery outcomes across partner engagements.
Process Controls & Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify opportunities for process optimisation and technology improvements.
- Design and implement process improvements and robust audit and control frameworks.
- Lead root cause analysis and remediation initiatives escalating to operational improvement teams where required.
About You
Experience & Expertise
- 1015 years of experience in HR Technology HR Systems Delivery and Operations within large enterprise environments.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale complex HR Technology programs.
- Deep hands-on experience with Workday; exposure to other ERP is highly desirable.
- Strong experience navigating complex ecosystems involving IT compliance audit and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise integrations and cross-platform HR Technology initiatives.
- Experience in leading AI Enabled Programs will be desirable.
Leadership & Capability
- Strong people leader with experience managing diverse multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proven stakeholder and dependency management capability across senior business and technology leaders.
- Advanced problem-solving skills including structured root cause analysis.
- Experience preparing investigation materials executive communications and formal documentation.
Qualifications
- Workday or other ERP certifications are highly desirable.
- Program and Project Management experience is essential.
- Program Financial Management experience is desirable.
