Your day in the life of a Project Manager Field Operations at Optus
- Lead the endtoend delivery of fibre infrastructure projects within the Damage and Relocations (DAR) portfolio supporting 5G Mobile and Core Network programs
- Manage projects from survey and approvals through to build completion and handover ensuring delivery to time cost quality and HSE standards
- Drive RFQ / RFT processes contractor engagement purchase orders cost variations and performance management
- Act as the escalation point for complex delivery and Severity 1 & 2 service interruptions working across internal teams and external partners
- Build strong working relationships with councils regulators utilities developers vendors and internal stakeholders
- Identify and lead process improvements automation and transformation initiatives to improve customer experience and reduce cost
- Provide clear reporting insights and updates to senior stakeholders and national forums
Your skills to pay the bills
- Tertiary qualification in a business or technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Extensive experience in project management leadership and change management within a complex operational environment
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure or network projects (telecommunications or similar industries preferred)
- Strong commercial capability including vendor contract and cost management
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels including senior leadership
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in highpressure environments
- A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement and customerfirst focus
