Event Account ManagerJob Description:
The Events Account Manager is responsible for the successful delivery and growth of all events conferences and leisure activities across the Fire Service College. The role reports into the Head of Site Operations with dotted line reporting into the Growth function driving pro-active business development opportunities as well as pipeline reporting.
Responsibilities
As theEventsAccount Manager you will take a leading role in ensuring that clients are providedafirst-classservicefromenquiry toproject delivery.
Own thebusiness developmentplan toachieve annual sales targets for Events andalongsidesupport FSC overall growth targets/business plan annually.
Responsible for building strong and credible relationships with clients ensuring projectobjectivesare delivered on time and to a high standard.
Manage time and resourcesinsupport ofthe successfuldelivery ofevents.Accountable for all FSC eventopportunitiesacross the siteincluding the relationships with existing and prospective clientsto drive further opportunities.
Marketing and promotion of the facilities across the Events business at theFSC
Engagement with thewiderGrowth teamacross Capitato service new business enquiriesexploiting existing client relationships insupportofcross sellactivity.
Leading theSportsCentre revenue generationactivity ensuring BP is achieved membershipsgrownandopportunities explored foradditionalrevenue.
Responsible for planning andorganisingEvents held at the Fire Service College (FSC); overseeing their delivery taking ownership through to debrief; andseekingnew and repeat business opportunities.
Responsible for taking the operational lead on the development implementation and management of Events including liaising and negotiating with clients asappropriate and ensuring that Health and Safety obligations are adhered to.
Working closely with our third-party suppliers on site todevelopgo tomarketpropositions in partnership.
About You
At least two years experience undertaking this type of work
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Ability to take responsibility for account management and project administration
Confident and willing to share ideas and contribute to strategy formulation
Comfortable to attend client meetings in place of a director when
Financial and commercial awareness

The Fire Service College (FSC) is a world-renowned further education training college that provides a range of resilience focused courses and programmes ranging from apprenticeships to fully accredited qualifications. On a 300-acre site FSC provides both practical and classroom-based learning in addition to remote/customer site delivered courses. FSC courses and programmes are accredited with SFJ Awards Highfields Institution for Fire Engineers FireQual Lantra JOIFF and Proboard/NFPA. Customers range from fire and rescue services police forces ambulance services the military various commercial organisations to individuals who wish to further their careers. FSC attracts learners from international fire and rescue services from the Middle East and across Europe.
