Job Summary

**CORE Duties:**

- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a diverse range of healthcare professionals facilitating the achievement of optimal clinical outcomes quality and cost-effectiveness.

- Ensure adherence to standards of care and practice in compliance with all established policies procedures and guidelines applicable within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).

- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain health histories.

- Provide health promotion counseling and educational services.

- Administer medications perform wound care and execute various other personalized interventions.

- Direct and supervise the care provided by other healthcare professionals.

- Assume accountability for assigning patient care responsibilities based on the scope of practice and skill level of the personnel involved.

- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms responding promptly in emergency situations.

- Communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals to inform the healthcare team of plans and actions and to facilitate teaching and education that benefits patients families and the organization.

- Schedule referral appointments and coordinate specialty care as deemed appropriate.

- Perform nursing services as identified in the position description.- Engage in research aimed at enhancing practice and improving patient outcomes.

**Work Schedule:**

Services shall be provided from Sunday to Saturday for a total of 13 hours inclusive of a one-hour meal break with the following timeframes:

- Days: Between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM - Evenings: Between 10:00 AM and 10:30 PM - Nights: Between 6:00 PM and 6:30 AM

**Minimum Qualifications:**

- **Education:** Associate Degree in Nursing from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or as otherwise specified.

- **Experience:** A minimum of one year of recent Emergency Room experience within the past two years. - **License:** Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.-

**Board Certification:** Not applicable.

- **Life Support Certifications:** Must possess current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications. ACLS and PALS certifications may be acquired within six months of employment.

- **Security:** The applicant must successfully pass a government background check and obtain the necessary government security clearance.
