The Opportunity

Portfolio Strategists are responsible for promoting Fidelitys portfolio construction capabilities. Portfolio Strategists support a dedicated sales region to provide portfolio construction insight and expertise regarding Fidelitys product offerings third party products industry trends and competitor intelligence. Portfolio Strategists conduct investment portfolio consultations with advisors using Fidelitys in-house portfolio analytics tool Fidelity Portfolio Intelligence. The role works closely with Fidelitys Portfolio Construction team and sales teams to create and support clients open architecture model portfolios.

What Youll Do

-Support advisor clients Sales and other internal partners with timely and relevant information

• Support advisors in the creation implementation and review of customized open-architecture model portfolios

• Conduct independent meetings and accompany the sales team in advisor meetings supporting portfolio construction discussions - some travel required

• Support sales team members on ad hoc queries for portfolio construction information and training on Fidelity Portfolio Intelligence

• Responsible for supporting Sales by providing insight and expertise in the development of portfolio analysis and construction.

• Develop strong relationships with Sales and clients resulting in positive feedback and customer loyalty

-Establish Fidelity Canada as an industry leader in portfolio construction

• Build maintain and communicate with expert level of knowledge on portfolio construction concepts

• Identify opportunities to develop and execute portfolio construction strategies that will maximize market penetration and increase customer loyalty

• Partner with Fidelitys Portfolio Construction team to educate and promote Fidelitys portfolio construction philosophy process performance and competitive strengths

• Produce and support development of thought leadership and insights regarding portfolio construction

-Contribute to asset allocation discussions and investment model portfolio strategy oversight and execution

• Partner with Portfolio Construction team Sales advisors and prospects to contribute to the building of model portfolios

• Utilize investment tools and market research to discuss recommendations with advisors including a detailed analysis of risk return and diversification for investment portfolios and/or an advisors book of business

• Develop relationships with Fidelitys Portfolio Construction team to deliver model portfolios to advisors that meet their needs and expectations

• Review products used within model portfolios to discuss notable changes with clients

What Were Looking For

• 5 years of investment market expertise

• Completion of a university degree or equivalent work experience

• Completion of CFA/MBA/CAIA is an asset

• Canadian asset management or wealth management industry knowledge

• 3 years of building or analyzing investment portfolios and an expert level of knowledge on portfolio construction concepts

For this role your total rewards include:

• Base Salary: A competitive annual range of $110000 to $130000 based on your experience and qualifications.

• Variable compensation plan: participation in a compensation-based incentive program that rewards you for driving results and achieving targets.
