Robeco has maintained a strong presence in France since 1997. The local Sales & Marketing team covers both wholesale and institutional clients leveraging Robecos long-standing expertise in quantitative fundamental and sustainable investing. With a solid legacy and significant expansion potential in the French market we are seeking to appoint an experienced (mid-level) professional to drive Institutional sales and client relationships across ideal candidate for the role is a team player who is very service oriented and has a proven track record of understanding our institutional clients needs and addressing these in a thoughtful and effective manner. The candidate will be based in Paris and report to the Country Head France.

Position & Requirements

Role mission :

The Institutional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving Robecos growth with institutional investors across France. This includes developing strategic relationships deepening engagement with existing clients and expanding Robecos footprint across insurers pension funds corporates family offices and other institutional channels.

The role requires a consultative client-centric approach and close collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality investment solutions tailored to client needs

Key responsibilities:

Commercial & Strategic Development

  • Drive commercial development with existing institutional accounts & acquire new clients across the French institutional landscape.
  • Leverage Robecos strong brand and your own network to further grow market penetration.
  • Identify client needsacross gatekeepers CIOs and other decisionmakersand translate these into actionable commercial opportunities.
  • Conduct research and perform analyses to understand market & competitive environment to be able to
  • identify commercial opportunities and threats with a data driven mindset
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with Robecos growth priorities.
  • Monitor industry developments client trends regulatory changes and competitive dynamics.

Client Engagement & Sales Excellence

  • Adopt a consultative selling approach focused on solutions rather than product push.
  • Collaborate with Investment Specialists Portfolio Managers Client Servicing Marketing and Legal & Compliance to deliver highquality client outcomes.
  • Maintain a structured client interaction rhythm with disciplined followup and CRM excellence.
  • Communicate Robecos investment philosophy sustainability leadership and strategy differentiators in a clear and compelling manner.

Collaboration & Internal Leadership

  • Actively contribute to team KPIs and annual commercial targets.
  • Share client insights competitive intelligence and pipeline developments with management.
  • Strengthen cross-departmental collaboration to ensure seamless client service.

Your profile:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in asset management with a strong track record in institutional sales.
  • Proven ability to acquire and manage institutional client relationships.
  • Broad and active network of key institutional decision-makers in France.
  • Solid understanding of investment solutions financial markets and the institutional sales process.
  • Strong negotiation abilities and capacity to create clear value for clients.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Highly engaged proactive structured and capable of working autonomously.
