Job Summary

TITLE: LTS Lower School Teacher Instructional Technology SpecialisQUALIFICATIONS: or certifiable as an Instructional Technology Specialist by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education of productivity tools use such as word processing database spreadsheet desktop publishing telecommunications and print/graphic utilities of selection evaluation and use of appropriate computer/technology based materials to support the instruction process of the Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core of Learning and inter-personal skills which would be required for user support and training and interaction with teachers and other professional staff experience in Windows OS and Chrome operating systems Google Apps for Education and iOS devicesGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: the classroom teachers in effective integration of technology into the Methuen Public Schools Curriculum assistance with managing the 1:1 implementation for all grades at MHS the school system in identifying evaluating and applying emerging technologies to enhance the teaching/learning process in the Methuen Public Schools the computer labs to help insure equitable use the maintenance needs of all computer equipment in the building the hardware and software needs of the school teachers with professional development in the integration of technology into the existing curriculum staff with a variety of professional development opportunities including workshops embedded assistance digital resources and/or print resources demonstration lessons on the effective implementation of the Methuen Public Schools Technology Curriculum contact with the Director of Instructional Technology in order to help insure that the above is being done
