Job Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Ophthalmology has an opening for an Optometrist. This position is full-time tenure earning at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Responsibilities include patient care didactic and clinical teaching and opportunities for basic and clinical research. We seek a highly-collaborative individual who has a desire to participate in all three mission areas including the opportunity to develop a research program. There is immediate need to engage in a robust clinical environment within the Callahan Eye Hospital.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have graduated from a fully accredited optometry residency program and be eligible for an Alabama Board of Optometry license.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional subspecialty residency or fellowship training preferred.
