Subject to formal establishment a vacancy will arise for a Squadron Leader ANY to serve as PSO to Director Reserves at RAF High Wycombe on Full Time Reserves Service (Limited Commitment) (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 31 August 2026 (or earlier/later subject to formal establishment and candidate status).
This pivotal role provides direct daytoday coordination decision support and executive management for a 2Star Principal operating at the centre of Whole Force Reserve policy capability development and strategic engagement.
As PSO you will act as the trusted contact for all business flowing to and from CG RAuxAF/Dir Reserves. You will coordinate tasking synchronise the Principals commitments manage information flow and ensure that outputs across the Directorate are timely accurate and coherent. You will also act as the primary liaison point for senior stakeholders across Air Command other FrontLine Commands and Defencewide partners.
Position Responsibilities
Executive Coordination
- Manage and prioritise all work requiring the Principals attention ensuring timely accurate and coherent staff work.
- Maintain situational awareness across the Directorate to enable effective decision
Diary Rhythm and Engagement Management
- Coordinate the Principals diary visits and meeting preparation ensuring balanced and efficient use of time.
- Prepare briefing material and liaise with stakeholders to support highquality engagements.
Information & Decision Support
- Assure submissions provide concise decision notes and steer staff toward producing highquality outputs.
- Track key taskers actions and governance requirements to ensure Directorate compliance.
Stakeholder Liaison
- Act as the primary coordination point between CG RAuxAF/Dir Res and other PSOs HQ Air functions RFCA and Defence partners.
- Build and maintain relationships to support coherent crossCommand working.
