GENERAL SUMMARY

The Logistics Manager is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing logistics operations across domestic and international markets. This role ensures efficient movement of goods regulatory compliance and cost-effective freight management. As a key leader within the supply chain function the Logistics Manager drives operational excellence fosters team development and builds a high-performance culture that directly contributes to business growth and customer satisfaction.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Lead and inspire the logistics team to achieve operational goals and exceed performance expectations.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with company objectives for cost delivery and service quality.
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders carriers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations Letters of Credit and contractual shipping terms.
  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of shipping documentation and commercial invoices.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve logistics-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Negotiate freight contracts and optimize transportation costs.
  • Coordinate Returned Material Authorization (RMA) processes and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures and ensure team adherence.
  • Conduct regular audits of freight bills and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with warehouse managers to align shipping volumes and resource allocation.
  • Champion sustainability and safety initiatives within logistics operations.
  • Support transportation-related projects and strategic initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics or related field (Masters preferred)
  • Minimum 510 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in international shipping and trade compliance
  • Proven track record of managing logistics operations in a global environment
