Purpose of Position
This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
- Focused work generating synthetic distribution feeders using Python and OpenDSS
- Direct contribution to power system resilience research
Duties & Responsibilities
- Use the OpenDSS Python package to generate synthetic distribution power system models
- Develop and execute Python scripts to create parameterize and validate realistic feeder configurations
- Support data preparation model customization and output validation for resilience studies
Minimum Requirements
- Able to work in-person (Grand Forks ND)
- Enrolled undergraduate in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Data Science or related field
- Basic to intermediate Python programming skills
- Willingness to work with the OpenDSS Python package (opendssdirect or similar)
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
