You will be involved in high-profile and complex IP litigation matters across trademarks copyright and a member of the Smart & Biggar team you will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading IP practitioners and to advise owners of some of the worlds most valuable brands while developing your career at Canadas largest IP directly with our Montreal litigation team you will tenaciously defend and assert our clients IP assets which are at the heart of their businesses against their competitors and other infringers. You will regularly work with professionals who possess expertise in copyright law trademarks and patents and be involved in some of the most important cases in Canada. Qualifications competencies and experience.A law degree from a recognized law school; called to the Barreau du Québec and a member in good standingA minimum of 3-5 years of post-call experience in IP litigationExperience assisting with or leading court proceedings including pleadings motions discovery evidence preparation and hearingsStrong analytical and drafting skills with the ability to develop clear and persuasive legal argumentsExcellent written and oral advocacy and communication skills in both French and EnglishHigh attention to detail and ability to manage complex filesStrong client-service orientation professionalism and ethical standardsCollaborative proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environmentNo recruiters or agencies please.#LI-HYBRID
