Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Handle Environmental Control System design for project works of the operating railway
- Coordinate E&M design and conduct design review for operating interface and property interface works
- Explore and adopt new technologies and smart systems in design projects such as energy-efficient products internet of things big data analytics artificial intelligence automation robotics etc. to enhance system performance efficiency and effectiveness
- Prepare design drawings specifications design calculations cost estimates and statutory submissions as well as carry out design check / verification for project works of the operating railway
- Render technical support for asset renewal / maintenance conduct technical studies investigations and audits prepare incident reports and review standards to ensure smooth operations of building services systems
- Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including consultants contractors and government departments for the design statutory submission and project documentation
- Review legislation and international standards and recommend improvement and change on system standards and performance
Requirements
- Degree in Building Services / Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience preferably gained in an operating railway environment of which 1 year should be at supervisory level
- Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognized professional institution is preferred
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with sound analytical mindset as well as good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
Remarks
- Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
