What will you do as a Project Controller
As a Project Controller you will ensure the end-to-end monitoring of project health against budget targets while driving the digital transformation of project controls through automation data analytics and system optimization.

What do we expect from you as a Project Controller
Bachelors Degree with 5 to 8 years working experience in project planning in Oil and Gas or related industry
Advanced user of Microsoft Office products and project management software programs (Microsoft Office Suite Primavera Project Planner Version 6.0 or higher and etc.) Qlik
Familiar and experience with brown field project related works good working knowledge of all phases
Good knowledge and experience in developing and managing a progress reporting methodology with excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills ability to multitask
Detail-oriented ability to work under pressure consistently meeting deadlines
Ability to work independently
Demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse work group of people at all levels
Your core responsibilities are:
(1) Strategic alignment with Project Managers and budget integrity
Portfolio Coordination: Partner with Project Managers (PMs) to ensure all budgeting scheduling and coordination processes align with the master CAPEX plan
Budget Management: Lead the PTB (Project Tracking & Budgeting) process for scope changes and additional budget allocations; maintain the 3-year maintenance preparation roadmap
Execution Oversight: Identify execution bottlenecks or stagnant projects and escalate to the Technical Engineering Manager to ensure portfolio velocity
Stakeholder Alignment: Coordinate sustaining CAPEX priority setting to ensure spending remains within the max targets and aligns with terminal strategies
(2) Quantitative analysis of project health and cost efficiency
Progress Analytics: Develop and maintain S-Curves (Planned vs. Actual) for all CAPEX projects providing early warning signals for potential delays
Forecasting: Maintain rigorous Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts and manage estimated remaining spend and carry-over updates
Savings Verification: Track and document cost-avoidance or Smart Engineering savings to validate the cost-efficiency of project delivery
Financial Integrity: Partner with the CAPEX Accountant on yearly rollovers and ensure alignment between OCS (Financial System) and PTB to eliminate discrepancies
(3) Operational reporting and administrative process integrity
Dashboard Management: Coordinate the Monthly CAPEX Dashboard ensuring all project status updates and workflow approvals are documented and submitted on time
Labor Tracking: Lead the Time Writing process ensuring accurate and timely submission/approval of timesheets to support journal entries for Accounting
Audit & Compliance: Ensure all new project requests and budget transfers follow correct documentation and workflow approval protocols
(4) Automating workflows and generating predictive insights
Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and data collection to reduce lead times and human error
Insight Generation: Utilize data analysis tools (e.g. Qlik looker Studio) to move beyond static reporting toward predictive insights and data-driven storytelling
System Optimization: Act as the local Superuser/Product Owner for the Project Management system (PTB); collaborate with the Global Digital team to review and improve system functionalities
Digital Literacy: Guide and upskill Project Managers on the effective use of digital tools and PTB enhancements to foster a data-centric culture within the engineering team
