Vedders Singapore office is seeking a Project Assistant. As a Project Assistant youll have a unique opportunity to learn the inner workings of the Global Transportation Finance (GTF) practice area. The GTF Project Assistant provides task-based support to the GTF practice group attorneys and paralegals. Tasks include document organization preparation for closings assistance with closings post-closing follow-up and preparation of closing sets. This high-profile position involves direct interface with paralegals and attorneys.
As the Project Assistant your job duties will include but not be limited to:
- Annual billable target of 1050 hours
- Assist with business leasing and financing transactions
- Review and organize due diligence materials
- Organize UCC filings and other documents
- Routinely organize and maintain files related to various transactions
- Pull precedent materials
- Review and track closing documents
- Prepare closing documents and assist at closings
- Prepare closing sets (electronic and/or hard copy)
- Follow up track and organize post-closing items
- Work with vendors to order and process requests
- Perform post-closing file maintenance prior to sending files to Records Department
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to learn quickly and apply training to practical issues
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to multitask and exercise successful time management
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work overtime
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree a certificate from an ABA approved paralegal training program or equivalent experience preferred
- Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be proficient in the following software:
- Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel; Internet Explorer Edge or Chrome; Adobe
- Experience in DocuSign SharePoint or secured file transferring software is a plus
