Blue Care operate over 32 retirement villages across Queensland with more than 3300 residents choosing to make a Blue Care communities their home. Our dynamic retirement living team has a unique opportunity for a caring people centricVillage Managerto join their team in on a permanent part time (Mon-Thur) basis. This is a multisite opportunity covering 4 small villages comprising 121 units in total. Hence daily travel is a requirement.
Your Part in Our Retirement Livings Team
As the Retirement Village Manager you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of operational plans work closely with sales to ensure occupancy levels are maintained and managing the day to day activities in one or more Retirement Villages. You will demonstrate continued commitment in providing resident focused service and a sense of place in the Villages and hold responsibility for the following duties:
Foster a professional working relationship with the village residents and team members.
Support facilitate and promote residents participation in village activities and ensure activities reflect residents preferences.
Ensure effective resident communication including notices and newsletters formal and informal meetings and information sessions.
Manage resident concerns and complaints to resolution in accordance with the feedback and complaints policy and legislative requirements. Investigate and follow up with appropriate action.
Lead and coach village staff and ensure a customer focus and operational excellence
Manage the performance of all village team members and conduct management activities performance appraisals succession planning and individual development plans as relevant and in line with HR policy.

Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Business Commerce Hospitality Hotel Management or equivalent experience.
A demonstrated empathy and understanding of working with older people.
Demonstrated financial budget and general office administration management experience including sound knowledge and use of computer software packages e.g. Microsoft Office suite and database applications.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and written communication skills with a high level of organisations skills and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise work loads.
Understanding of current workplace health and safety regulations (WH&S) and continuous quality improvement practices.
Current Queensland Drivers Licence
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
